CPN UML backs Kiran Thapa for Bagmati CM, keeps Thapaliya as party leader

Kathmandu, Aug 18: The CPN-UML has reached an agreement to put forward lawmaker Kiran Thapa as the new Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.
The agreement was reached following discussions on Tuesday among UML leaders, including Central Secretary Mahesh Basnet and Rajan Bhattarai.
