Gap of payment to dairy farmers shall be reduced, says Agro Minister

Kathmandu, Aug 18: Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Geeta Chaudhary, has committed to reduce the payment time span for milk purchased from dairy farmers.

Responding to questions raised in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, she said that compared to the past the payment period for milk purchased from farmers has been reduced from eight months to three months and that it would be reduced further in the coming days.
