Supreme Court Issues Interim Order on Madhesh Province Employee's Study Leave Dispute

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued an interim order not to immediately implement the provincial government's decision in a dispute related to a Madhesh Province employee's study leave. The single bench of Justice Tekprasad Dhungana issued the order while hearing a writ filed by Manoj Mishra, an employee of the Ministry of Health and Population of Madhesh Province.
A dispute arose regarding whether the study leave of Manoj Mishra, a permanent employee of the Madhesh Province civil service, which was previously approved, would be canceled or not. In that context, the ministry, through its decisions on Jestha 26, 2083 and Jestha 29, 2083 (Letter No. 2007), imposed restrictions on his service facilities and leave-related procedures. Against that decision, Mishra filed a writ in the Supreme Court seeking a writ of certiorari.
