Two Opium Smugglers Arrested in Banke; 14kg Opium Seized

Kathmandu. On Bhadra 1, police arrested two drug traffickers of opium by firing a shot in Kohalpur, Banke. A team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau's branch office Nepalgunj and Surkhet had recovered 14 kg 760 grams of opium from them.

Those arrested with opium include 43-year-old Karnabahadur Buda, a resident of Sisne Rural Municipality, Rukum East, and 60-year-old Top Jang Giri, a resident of Kohalpur Municipality, Banke. Bureau's Deputy Spokesperson (DSP) Jeevan Niroula told Ratopati that one round of aerial firing was done as they tried to escape while being taken under control.
