Chief Ministers of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Secure Vote of Confidence

Kathmandu. Chief Ministers of Karnali and Sudurpaschim have received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly according to the new power equation of UML and NCP. Chief Ministers of NCP were formed in Karnali and Sudur. Accordingly, both Chief Ministers, Mangal Bahadur Shahi in Karnali and Khagraj Bhatta in Sudur, received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Wednesday.

In the Karnali Provincial Assembly meeting, 21 votes were cast in favor of Chief Minister Shahi and 13 against. Two votes were neutral. Shahi received a vote of confidence from the MPs of UML and NCP. In the 40-member Provincial Assembly, there are 10 MPs from UML including the Speaker, 14 from the Nepali Communist Party, 15 from the Congress, and 1 from RPP. The Nepali Congress and RPP voted against.
