Nepal Medical Council Issues Regulations to Control Illegal Medical Practice

Kathmandu. Nepal Medical Council has issued the Illegal Medical Practice Control Procedure 2083. The Council's board meeting has issued the procedure with the objective of regulating modern medicine. According to the procedure, non-health workers will not be allowed to practice modern medicine by writing 'Doctor'.

Acting Registrar of the Board, Dr. Dipendra Pandey, said that the procedure has been brought to regulate the entire medical sector. Dr. Pandey said, 'If a doctor violates their code of conduct, action will be taken. This procedure will contribute to further strengthening the medical sector.'
