Kiran Thapa Appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province

Hetauda. UML's Kiran Thapa Magar has been appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province. Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota administered the oath of office and secrecy to Thapa as Chief Minister in accordance with Article 186 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Thapa, who formed the government with the support of 63 MPs from UML, CPN, and RPP, does not seem to have a very long political journey. He started his politics from RPP and was a ward chairman in 2074 BS. Having served as the ward chairman of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur in 2074 BS, he has succeeded in making a wide leap in politics in a short time.
