Mersak Cyclone Causes 159 Deaths, 10 Missing in Southern China

In early July, the severe floods caused by Mesak cyclone have resulted in 159 deaths and 10 missing in two cities in China's southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities announced on Friday.

According to statistics from the post-disaster rescue and construction program organized in the affected cities, the heavy rainfall caused by Mesak cyclone has affected more than 1.65 million people in the regional capital Nanning and Guigang.
