Vijay Gupta's Chatpate Business in Janakpur Provides Livelihood and Education

Janakpurdham. Vijay Gupta, 36, a permanent resident of Udaipur, Gaighat-3, has started a chatpate stall in the historic Rangbhoomi (Barha Bigha) ground of Janakpur for 5 years. Not only has his livelihood been sustained by the income from this business, but he has also been sending his 2 children to a good boarding school in Janakpur.

In a situation where young people from the village are migrating abroad, Gupta himself had initially gone for foreign employment. He had worked in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia for 7 years in foreign employment, and while he did earn money, he had to spend more on his treatment than he earned, which left him in severe financial distress.
