Iraq Plans to Increase Oil Exports to 10 Million Barrels Per Day Within Six Years

Kathmandu. Iraq has announced a plan to increase petroleum product exports from the country. On Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi said, "The Iraqi administration under his leadership wants to increase the country's oil exports to one crore barrels per day within the next six years."
Crude oil sales account for about 90 percent of Iraq's revenue, but Iraq's exports have been affected since the Middle East war between Iran and the United States, which has blocked passage through the Strait of Hormuz, began.
