Tribhuvan University Service Commission Faces Scrutiny Over Deputy Professor Appointment

Kathmandu. Questions have been raised over the recommendation for the post of Deputy Professor in Social Studies subject conducted by the Tribhuvan University (TU) Service Commission. This issue came to light after a complaint was filed at the High Court, Patan, alleging that a candidate who submitted forged documents was appointed as Deputy Professor in Social Studies under the Faculty of Education.

The petitioner, Tej Prasad Poudel, stated in the writ that although he succeeded in securing the first position in the written examination of the open competitive examination conducted by the Service Commission, the published results after the interview recommended the opponent Sudarshan Kadel in the first position by adding marks for incorrect experience. Poudel alleged that Kadel influenced the results by obtaining 5 extra marks based on a fake recommendation for part-time teaching at Birendra Multiple Campus, Chitwan.
