Kaski. The unexpected visit of Prime Minister Balen Shah to Astam village in Ward No. 6 of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality, a tourist area near Pokhara, has brought happiness and curiosity among the local residents.

It was only after the heavy presence of security personnel on Friday morning that the locals came to know that the Prime Minister was coming. The villagers were eager to present their problems to the Prime Minister, who had a schedule to stay at the famous 'Annapurna Eco Village'.
