Education Ministry Decides to Prosecute Consultancies Operating Without Registration

Kathmandu. It has been decided to prosecute consultancies that have started educational counseling services and sent students abroad without completing the registration process. As per the decision of the Minister of Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, the police have started an investigation against such consultancies.
On May 1, the police raided 195 such offices in the Kathmandu Valley on charges of fraud in the name of sending students abroad by consultancies and educational counseling companies. The police had arrested 68 consultancy operators and managers. Among them, 15 consultancies that were in the registration process were kept on bail by the police, and the Ministry of Education and Sports was informed about it.
