Structures on Encroached Ponds in Janakpurdham Demolished

Janakpurdham. Bulldozers have demolished permanent and temporary structures built on the banks of seven historical and archaeological ponds within Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city, the capital of Madhesh Province.
The Guthi Sansthan and the committee formed for the protection and management of Guthi land started removing those structures from Saturday as the first phase. After bulldozers ran over the pond banks, areas that were very bustling until yesterday became deserted today. The demolished materials were scattered, and some locals were seen looking around to see if any of their belongings were still there.
