Nepal Medical Association Demands Strict Action Against Attackers of Doctor and Father in Janakpur

Kathmandu. The Nepal Medical Association has expressed serious concern over the incident of assault on a doctor and his father working at a health institution in Janakpur, Dhanusha, and has demanded strict action against the perpetrators.

According to a press release issued by Nepal Medical Association President Dr. Badri Rizal and General Secretary Dr. Bishwa Raj Dawadi, on Bhadra 5, a group of people assaulted Dr. Shashi Shekhar Adhikari, who was working at Janakpur Health Care and Diagnostic Center in Janakpur, while he was on duty. The association stated that the attackers also severely beat Dr. Adhikari's father. The association has condemned such aggressive and reprehensible acts against doctors and health workers engaged in health services, stating that the incident has instilled fear in the entire health sector.
