Beijing’s ‘Robot Olympics’ is showcasing rapid advances in autonomous machines, while Nepal, still largely a technology consumer, is exploring robotics for tourism, disaster response and industrial automation.
Humanoid robots in helmets and boxing gloves traded punches and kicks, tumbling to the floor and scrambling back up. A five-a-side football match between robot teams from China's Tsinghua University and a German squad was another crowd favourite. The inaugural edition of Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing last year left spectators awestruck with their futuristic experiments, showcasing rapid advancements in robotics.
