Home Minister Questions Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Role in Self-Immolation Incident

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung questioned the role of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and local administration in the case of Ganesh Nepali, who self-immolated in Tripureshwor. He claimed that video evidence shows that the wheel lock on Ganesh Nepali's bike was done by the metropolitan police, not the traffic police.

He targeted the opposition MPs, asking, 'Under whose leadership are the local government and provincial government now?' He stated that he was implementing the laws and regulations made by past governments, arguing that the root of some of the current problems lies in old laws. He questioned the role of the metropolitan police.
