Nepal Volleyball League Trophy Unveiled, Showcasing National Identity

Kathmandu. The trophy of the 'Extreme Energy Drink Nepal Volleyball League' (NVL), the first men's franchise volleyball league to be held in Nepal, has added a new attraction to Nepali sports with its unveiling. The league trophy is not just a 'cup' that the winning team of a normal sports competition will lift. Its design, shape, and the symbols it contains tell the story of Nepal's Himalayas, biodiversity, culture, heritage, spirituality, and nature.

On Sunday, Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan unveiled the NVL trophy for the first time at the historic Patan Durbar Square. Afterwards, the trophy was taken to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Basantapur Durbar Square in Kathmandu and made public. The first edition of the NVL, organized by Kedia Group with the support of the Nepal Volleyball Association, will be held from September 5 to 13 at the National Sports Council's covered hall in Tripureshwor.
