MBBS/BDS Intern Doctors Threaten Hunger Strike Over Unimplemented Agreements

Kathmandu. The MBBS and BDS intern doctors have threatened to go on a hunger strike again, stating that the government and the Medical Education Commission have not implemented the agreements made in the past. Dilli Harijan, coordinator of the 'MBBS/BDS Intern Stipend Movement Nepal', issued a press release on Friday giving such a warning.

The press release states that although a decision and implementation should have been made immediately from the meeting of the Medical Education Commission as per the agreement reached between Harijan, who was on a hunger strike on August 8, and the government's negotiation team, no progress has been made even after 16 days.
