NAda Auto Show 2024: Federation of Commerce and Industry Chairman Criticizes Government Over Economic Woes

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the NAda Auto Show 2024, Chairman of the Federation of Nepal Industries and Commerce Anjan Shrestha has made a sarcastic remark towards the government regarding the country's current economic situation and the declining morale of the private sector. He stated that it is very difficult to operate industries and businesses due to the inability to increase market demand, and the morale of businessmen has reached its weakest point in history. Mentioning that he has never seen such a difficult time and such weak morale of businessmen in his 36-year business journey, he emphasized that the state must take special initiatives to improve the current state of the economy.
Taking the new government's commitment to advance the economy positively, Chairman Shrestha pointed out the need for a clear action plan to achieve the government's ambitious goals. He clarified that the private sector is ready to support the government's goal of increasing per capita income to $3,000, building an economy of $100 billion, and providing employment to 1.2 million people in the next 5 to 7 years.
