Parliamentary Hearing Committee Calls for Objections Against Recommended Election Commissioners

Kathmandu. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has called for objections against three individuals recommended for the posts of Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioner. The committee issued a public notice today, urging anyone with concrete grounds, evidence, or information that the appointments of the individuals recommended by the Constitutional Council are inappropriate to submit their objections to the committee within 10 days.

According to the notice, objections with evidence can be submitted in Nepali or English against Man Bahadur Karki (Morang), recommended for Chief Election Commissioner, and Dr. Rajiv Subba (Kathmandu) and Guru Prasad Wagle (Okhaldhunga), recommended for Election Commissioners.
