Massive Flood in Trishuli and Bhote Koshi Rivers Due to Suspected Glacial Lake Outburst in Tibet

Kathmandu. A massive flood has occurred in the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers through the border area of Rasuwa, Timure. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology suspects a glacial lake outburst in Tibet.

The department has appealed to the coastal areas to exercise high vigilance as the river flow has suddenly increased.
