Flash Flood Damages Settlements in Timure, Rasuwa Due to Sudden Water Inflow from Tibet

Kathmandu. Flash floods have damaged settlements in the Timure area of Rasuwa after a large amount of water suddenly entered Nepal from the Tibetan side of China. The water level of the Trishuli River has risen rapidly due to the flood, affecting Nuwakot and increasing the risk in the lower riparian areas. Officials have urged residents along the Trishuli River from Rasuwa to Nuwakot to Mugling to exercise extreme caution.
According to the Rasuwa District Police Office, a large amount of water suddenly came towards Nepal from the Tibetan side around 9 AM on Wednesday. Subsequently, the flow of the flood increased in the Timure area, affecting some settlements. The police have stated that detailed information about the damage caused by the flood is being collected.
