Floodwaters from Rasuwa Reach Dhading's Galchi, Bridge Washed Away

Kathmandu. The flood that started from Rasuwa has affected the Galchi area of Dhading. According to Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandey Gautam, although there has been no major human loss in Dhading so far, a suspension bridge in Galchi has been washed away by the flood. The administration has increased vigilance as the water level of the flood continues to rise.

Efforts are underway to relocate vulnerable settlements along the riverbanks to safer locations. Especially in the Malekhu and Galchi areas, coastal settlements are at high risk, and residents there have been urged to stay safe.
