Nepal Telecom Services Disrupted by Flood Damage in Rasuwa and Nuwakot

Kathmandu. Telephone and internet services in areas including Rasuwa and Nuwakot have been affected due to damage to Nepal Telecom's communication infrastructure caused by a severe flood. The flood has damaged seven towers and optical fiber of Telecom.

According to Nepal Telecom's spokesperson Kamal Lamichhane, preliminary reports indicate that five towers in Nuwakot and two in Rasuwa have sustained physical damage. Network problems have arisen in many places due to power outages along with the damage to the towers.
