Iran Closes Strait of Hormuz, US Launches Airstrikes

Following Iran's announcement to close the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, the United States has launched a new phase of airstrikes on Iran.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the US carried out its third major military operation this week after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked a commercial ship flying the flag of Cyprus.
