Prime Minister Balendra Shah Calls Emergency Cabinet Meeting Over Flood Crisis

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called an emergency cabinet meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be held shortly at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The Prime Minister has called this emergency meeting to discuss the crisis caused by the severe floodwaters coming from Tibet into the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa and the increased risk in the coastal areas. Preparations are underway to make important decisions in the meeting regarding the effective mobilization of all state security agencies and government mechanisms for rescue, relief, and damage mitigation in the flood-affected areas.
