Devastating Flood Washes Away 192-Meter Bridge Connecting Nuwakot and Dhading

Kathmandu. A devastating flood that entered the Trishuli River from China via Rasuwa has washed away the concrete bridge connecting Keurini in Belkotgadhi Municipality of Nuwakot and Fosretar in Ward No. 1 of Ghalchi Rural Municipality of Dhading. The flood has also damaged nearby suspension bridges.
The bridge was 192 meters long. The bridge, contracted in 2071 BS, was completed in 2078 BS. The bridge was constructed by Sapana Himdung & Thokar and Nagarjun Construction JV Company at a total cost of 15 crore 11 lakh rupees. Residents of the area are disappointed with the washing away of the bridge.
