Massive Flood Damages Infrastructure and Property in Rasuwa

Kathmandu. A massive flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa today morning has caused extensive damage to infrastructure, vehicles, markets, and the property of common people in the Timure, Syabrubesi, and Rasuwagadhi areas. The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NI MA) has expressed deep sorrow over the incident.

According to preliminary reports, the flood has devastated roads, bridges, electricity, and communication infrastructure. Significant damage has also occurred to hydropower projects and structures of government and security agencies. The flood has affected the Area Police Office Timure, Police Post Syabrubesi, and Police Post Rasuwagadhi. Although the full details of the incident are yet to come, NI MA has stated that the human, physical, and economic losses could be even greater.
