Energy Minister Directs Intensified Flood Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts in Rasuwa

Kathmandu. Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Shrestha has directed to intensify rescue, relief, and rehabilitation work by immediately collecting details of the damage caused by the sudden flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa and surrounding areas.

Immediately after receiving information about the flood on Wednesday morning, Minister Shrestha called a meeting of the Senior Management Team (SMT) at the ministry and took information about the initial state of the incident. In the meeting, he directed to prioritize the rescue and rehabilitation of employees, laborers, and the general public affected by the disaster, coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and other relevant bodies, and mobilize mechanisms in the affected areas immediately.
