India Issues Flood Alert After Nepal Disaster

Kathmandu. After devastating floods in Nepal caused huge loss of life and property, the administrations of India's Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states have intensified preparations keeping in mind the potential risks in the lower riparian areas.

At least 16 people have died in a sudden flood in Nepal's Rasuwa district on Wednesday, while many people, including Indian citizens, are missing. Following the major damage caused by the flood, monitoring and precautionary measures have been increased in the neighboring Indian regions.
