Narayani River Flood Risk in West Nawalparasi's Susta Area Mitigated, No Major Damage Reported

Butwal. Although the risk has increased in the Susta area of West Nawalparasi due to the rise in the water level of the Narayani River caused by floods coming from Tibet via the Himalayan district of Rasuwa, no major damage has occurred so far.
The water level of the Narayani River is gradually decreasing and all 36 gates of the Gandak barrage have been opened, so no immediate major problem has been seen in Susta, Adam Khan, ward member of Susta Rural Municipality-5 and coordinator of the Susta Bachau Abhiyan, told Ratopati.
