Health Ministry Responds to BhoteKoshi River Flood Disaster

Kathmandu. The Department of Health Services has started health response with high alert, keeping in mind the disaster situation created by the severe flood in the BhoteKoshi river in Rasuwa this morning.

The Federal Rapid Response Committee meeting chaired by the Director General of the Department reviewed the overall situation of the flood-affected area and took immediate necessary steps. As per the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene, the Department has activated the Federal Rapid Response Mechanism and given high priority to the health security of the affected citizens.
