Customs Department Expresses Grief Over Bhote Koshi Flood Damage, Initiates Rescue and Trade Facilitation

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance, Department of Customs has expressed deep sorrow over the great damage caused in districts including Rasuwa and Nuwakot due to the severe flood in the Bhote Koshi river from Tibet. In the context of the flood directly affecting the general public, customs employees, businessmen, and cargo vehicle drivers, and also causing damage to physical structures and trade goods, the department today issued a very urgent notice and has started initiatives for rescue and trade facilitation.
The department has appointed three section officers as contact persons to ascertain the updated status of customs administration employees who are out of contact or injured in the affected areas including Rasuwa, and their family members, and to provide necessary assistance. Accordingly, employees and their family members can contact section officers Kumar Ghimire (9841365948), Bharatmani Sapkota (9849645030), and Shivraj Bohara (9849932202) to receive assistance.
