Devastating Flood Causes Widespread Damage and Fatalities

Kathmandu. Due to the devastating flood that came from China on Wednesday morning, there has been great loss of life and property in the Trishuli river basin areas including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. According to data until 11 PM on Wednesday night, the death toll from floods and landslides has reached 157, and physical structures such as roads, electricity projects, and drinking water have been extensively damaged.

As the number of flood-affected and at-risk individuals is extremely high, aerial rescue operations will commence from Thursday morning using helicopters from the Nepali Army and the private sector.
