The Flood Forecasting and Early Warning Division of the Hydrology and Water Resources Research Center has clarified that there is no official or reliable basis for the rumors that a larger flood is coming from the Rasuwa and Nuwakot regions. Based on the information received so far and preliminary analysis, the division has stated that there is no reliable basis for a larger flood and has urged citizens to remain calm and not follow unverified information.

In the context of receiving information through various media and phone calls about a larger flood coming, the division has issued a statement to clarify the situation. According to the division, although the river flow may increase slightly due to rainfall in the region, there is no possibility of a more devastating flood so far. Therefore, the division has heartily requested citizens who are in safe places outside the areas affected by this morning's flood not to panic unnecessarily and to remain calm.
