Rasuwa Flood: Initial Technical Report Released, Risk Persists

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Flood Forecasting Division has released an initial technical report regarding the severe flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa on Wednesday. According to the report, the risk of flood in the upper Bhote Koshi region has not yet completely subsided as the lake formed by the blockage of the river on the Tibet side has not fully opened yet.

The division has emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli-Narayani river system and has urged residents in the coastal areas to exercise extreme caution and remain in safe locations until further notice.
