Rasuwa Flood Causes Major Damage, Experts Warn of Further Risks

Kathmandu. A severe flash flood that occurred in Rasuwa on Wednesday morning has caused great loss of life and property. Experts have urged caution as the powerful flood, carrying water, debris, and large stones through the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river systems, could have further impacts on downstream areas.

The water level in the Bhote Koshi watershed began to rise rapidly around 9:00 AM on Wednesday. The flood has caused significant damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
