24 Contactless After Rasuwa Flood

Mahendranagar. 24 people from Kanchanpur have gone out of contact after a severe flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa. The District Police Office Kanchanpur had issued a notice on Wednesday evening to inform the District Administration and District Police Office about the search and rescue of persons who have not been in contact so far in the flood-affected areas. The spokesperson of the District Police Office Kanchanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Rawat, said that the relatives of 24 people from Kanchanpur in the flood-affected areas have contacted the police for search operations. "Relatives of the army, police, employees working in the affected area and laborers working in the hydropower project have contacted us and requested search operations", said spokesperson Rawat, "We are collecting the details of the missing persons and sending them to the Police Headquarters." According to the District Police Office, a total of six people from Bhimdatta Municipality, three from Belauri Municipality, five from Krishnapur, seven from Shuklaphanta Municipality, one from Laljhadi Rural Municipality and two from Bedkot Municipality are out of contact from the flood-affected area of Rasuwa. Similarly, after the District Police Office Kanchanpur issued a notice, relatives of one person from Dadeldhura and two from Baitadi have also contacted. "According to the details provided by the relatives of the missing persons, most of them are laborers working in the hydro, two Nepali Army personnel, one Nepal Police personnel and customs and forest employees", said spokesperson Rawat, "We have collected the details in the district to facilitate the search." The local administration has also shown activeness in the search and rescue of the citizens of this area who are in trouble due to the flood in Rasuwa. Similarly, relatives of Naresh Dutt Joshi of Bhimdatta Municipality-13 Badaipur in Kanchanpur have been requesting to facilitate the search since Wednesday morning. According to the information provided by the relatives of Joshi, who was working at the Timure Customs Office, he had telephone contact with him at 7:30 am on Wednesday. "He had been working at the Timure Customs for two years", said Joshi's son-in-law Tika Bhatta, "We are hoping to get in touch with family members since Wednesday."
