MP Malla Alleges State-Protected Individuals Threaten Media and Political Leaders

Kathmandu. Opposition party Nepali Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Ramesh Kumar Malla has accused state-protected individuals of engaging in activities to intimidate media and political leadership at their homes. He made such an accusation while speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Lawmaker Malla asserted that government-protected individuals are creating road blockades and spreading fear among the media and political leadership to overshadow the Ganesh Nepali case. He warned the government to impose heavy fines on vehicles obstructing media houses and to take immediate strict action against those involved in such incidents. Complaining that the government has failed to do any work for the benefit of ordinary citizens, he also expressed objection, stating that Prime Minister Sah has not yet corrected his anti-nationalistic remarks.
