Opposition MP Gita Gurung States 9 Citizens Died Due to Unprepared Bulldozing of Squatter Settlements

Kathmandu. Opposition party MP Gita Gurung has stated that 9 citizens had to lose their lives due to the government running bulldozers in squatter settlements without preparation. In the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Gurung said that a dire situation has been created due to the government's impractical policies and that squatters have fallen into further crisis.
She informed that those who lost their lives due to the state's wrong policies include 18-year-old Rabin Tamang, 57-year-old Indrabahadur Rai, 50-year-old Kamala Balampaki, 68-year-old Karnabahadur Shrestha, 36-year-old Bheshraj Darji, 66-year-old Parvati BK, 39-year-old Sushila Thapamagar, 75-year-old Ratandevi Malahani, and 18-month-old infant Ujjwal Tamang.
