National Youth Federation Nepal Demands Unconditional Release of ANNISU President Deepak Dhami and Other Leaders

Kathmandu. The National Youth Federation Nepal, close to the CPN-UML, has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of ANNISU President Deepak Dhami and others. Police had arrested Dhami and six other leaders of ANNISU during a demonstration at the south gate of Singha Durbar.

The Youth Federation has also stated that the arrest of student leaders including ANNISU Central President Dhami, who participated in a peaceful protest, clearly shows that the government is losing its ability to listen to the people and has reached a mentality of interpreting dissent as a crime.
