CPN (UML) Ministers Sacked in Sudurpashchim, New Coalition Talks Begin

Dhangadhi. Following the dismissal of four ministers from the CPN (UML) from the Sudurpashchim Province government, initiatives for a new coalition have begun. Amidst this, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has stated that a new coalition could be formed on the condition of the Chief Minister post and rewriting the budget. However, leaders have stated that detailed discussions with the parties are yet to take place.
Akkal Rawal, a Member of the Provincial Assembly for the CPN Sudurpashchim Province, said that a new coalition could be formed. He indicated that cooperation could be with Congress and UML, whoever accepts their conditions. However, he clarified that they cannot support either Congress or UML in the current situation. 'We are ready to join the government if there is an agreement on rewriting the budget and giving the Chief Minister post to the CPN. As the largest party in the Provincial Assembly, the Chief Minister post is naturally our claim,' he said.
