Armed Police Chief Calls for Clearer Laws on Narcotics

Kathmandu. Armed Police Inspector General Narayan Prasad Paudel has pointed out the need for various laws and regulations related to narcotics to clearly address the role of the Armed Police Force Nepal. He expressed this view at a program organized by the Home Ministry on Friday on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Inspector General Paudel stated that to make the deployment of the Armed Police Force engaged in border security more effective, existing laws and regulations should be amended to clarify their role. He also emphasized the need to provide modern resources and means to the bodies working in the field for the control and prevention of drug abuse.
