Bill Gates Warns of AI Risks, Calls for Global Coordination

California. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has warned that the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) could pose serious risks to employment and human life. He stressed that addressing the potential risks of AI should be a global priority.

"AI will either be the biggest equivalent invented so far, or the worst source of injustice," he wrote in a 6,000-word essay. He also said that the current era is an era of AI mischief and that the choices we make now are very important. Gates is not the first tech entrepreneur to express concern about the rapid development in the field of AI. But his essay adds further concern about the performance of some AI models and potential job losses.
