Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Issues New Procedure for Appointing Personal Secretaries

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party has issued a new procedure to make the appointment of personal secretaries of its federal MPs (House of Representatives and National Assembly) systematic and transparent. According to the 'Procedure for Appointing Personal Secretaries, 2083' passed by the Parliamentary Party meeting on Monday, certain educational qualifications, skills, and experience are now mandatory to become an MP's personal secretary.

The Congress has brought this criterion with the objective of selecting skilled human resources to make the MPs' parliamentary role, legislative responsibility, and coordination with the public more effective.
