Parliamentary Committee Directs Action on Gas Shortage and Distribution Issues

Kathmandu. From early morning, lines of empty cylinders are seen on the streets and gas depots of Kathmandu, the federal capital of the country. Consumers are forced to return home empty-handed, unable to get even a single cylinder of gas after standing in line for hours, getting drenched in the rain, and leaving work.
However, in such a situation, government officials in a parliamentary committee meeting inside Singha Durbar are saying, 'There is no shortage of gas in the market, this is just a problem of consumer mentality and distribution.' On Tuesday, the Industry, Commerce and Consumer Welfare Committee of the Federal Parliament held discussions with government officials and industrialists.
