Iran's Supreme Leader Gives Ultimatum to President, Shifting Power Balance

It is claimed that a new tension has emerged in the internal political power balance of Iran after Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei gave an 'final ultimatum' to President Masoud Pezeshkian and supported the stance of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Ahmad Vahidi in major decisions. This development has come to light amidst tensions between the US and Iran and regional instability.

Israeli broadcaster Channel-14, citing sources familiar with the developments in Tehran, reported that Khamenei has given a clear message to President Pezeshkian not to use the option of resignation again. The report states that this has neutralized Pezeshkian's primary political leverage.
