Restaurant Fined NPR 201,000 for Substandard Ingredients

Kathmandu. A restaurant in New Road, Kathmandu has been fined NPR 200,000. On Friday, a monitoring team including the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control and the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection fined Corner Point Restaurant and Bar in New Road NPR 201,000.

The Department of Quality Control stated that the fine was imposed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 2075 as some food ingredients used in the restaurant were found to be of substandard quality.
