Landslide Prevention Project Underway on Beni-Jomsom-Korla Road Section in Myagdi

Myagdi. A landslide and erosion prevention project is being operated on the retaining wall section of the Beni-Jomsom-Korla road in Myagdi. The Beni-Jomsom-Korla Road Project Office has undertaken a landslide and erosion prevention project on 300 meters of the retaining wall area. According to Project Chief Tejaswi Sharma, a contract worth Rs 70 million has been signed with the construction company for landslide control. After the construction of the wall is completed, bioengineering will also be carried out. The project has been implemented for landslide and erosion prevention at a cost of Rs 250 million on the 76-kilometer Beni-Jomsom-Korla road, including retaining walls and sections in Ruguuganga Rural Municipality-2 Tallo and Mathillo Baisari, Nagdhunga, Guinthebhir, Khamvitta, Latokhola, Rupse, Setokhola, and Larjung. Project Chief Sharma stated that landslide prevention is being done using 'rock anchoring', 'plum wall', 'bioengineering', and '3D mesh' technologies. The plan aims to be completed within the current fiscal year.
